The Growing Edge Leadership Model
Four interconnected dimensions where leaders and teams develop new capabilities, reshape behaviours, and expand capacities to influence culture, and drive the future.
Growth happens at the edges of what's comfortable
The Growing Edge Leadership Model began with a shared commitment to helping people realize their potential, strengthening the way teams work together, and creating meaningful change in organizations.
The model was born from bringing together what we know about how the brain changes, what influences human behaviour, and what helps people, teams, and organizations grow.

Understand Self
Understanding how our brains, values, beliefs, and experiences shape the way we think, feel, and respond is the foundation for meaningful growth. By recognizing our patterns, challenging assumptions, and learning to manage our responses, we develop the capacity to act with greater intention, especially when facing pressure, uncertainty, and change.
Key Focus Areas
- Self-awareness and personal values
- Understanding thought patterns and biases
- Emotional regulation and resilience
- Intentional decision-making
The Guiding Question: How do I lead myself?

Strengthening Relationships
Strong relationships are built through trust and understanding.
Understanding how emotions, experiences, and different perspectives shape our interactions helps us build stronger, more effective relationships.
By communicating with intention, navigating differences, and fostering psychological safety, we create the conditions for people to share ideas, challenge assumptions, engage in constructive disagreement, and learn from one another. Strong relationships don't eliminate discomfort or differences; they provide the trust needed to navigate them, grow together, and work more effectively.
Key Focus Areas
- Communication and active listening
- Emotional intelligence and empathy
- Trust and psychological safety
- Navigating differences and conflict
- Collaboration and constructive feedback
The Guiding Question: How do I strengthen the way we work together?

Shape Culture
Culture is shaped by what we do every day.
Organizational culture is shaped by the behaviours, relationships, expectations, and systems that influence how people experience their workplace.
By recognizing the impact of our everyday actions and intentionally shaping the conditions in which people work, we can build cultures grounded in trust, inclusion, shared learning, and collective accountability. When people feel valued, supported, and empowered to contribute, individuals and teams are better positioned to thrive and achieve meaningful results.
Key Focus Areas
- Organizational culture and shared values
- Leadership behaviours and collective influence
- Trust, inclusion, and accountability
- Learning, adaptability, and continuous improvement
- Creating conditions for team effectiveness
The Guiding Question: What conditions are we creating for people to thrive?

Drive the Future
The future is shaped by how we learn, adapt, and innovate.
Navigating an evolving world requires more than responding to change. It requires the confidence to challenge assumptions, explore emerging technologies, and rethink what's possible.
By combining an understanding of human behaviour with strategic thinking and innovation, we help individuals, teams, and organizations navigate uncertainty, harness the potential of AI and emerging technologies, and build the capacity to shape their future rather than simply react to it.
Key Focus Areas
- Strategic thinking and future readiness
- Change leadership and organizational adaptability
- AI, emerging technologies, and digital transformation
- Innovation and continuous learning
- Navigating complexity and uncertainty
The Guiding Question: How do we build the capacity to shape what's next?
